Isn’t Mythos beer the best greek beer?
Many people are most familiar with Mythos beer, Fix, Alfa or Zorbas beer on holiday in Greece. These beers are really nice, but when we talk about quality beer that in our eyes can compete with the best beers in the world, if not the best in the world, then Mythos, Zorbas and Fix lag behind. Further down in the article we will give some examples of delicious beers from, among other things, microbreweries.
However, it must be said that a Mythos beer is one of the best-selling beers in Greece and goes really well with a Gyros in Copenhagen.
VOREIA Imperial Porter Beer
This beer has won the gold award in 2023 at the Concours international de Lyon and another gold award in the Frankfurt international trophy in 2023.
The beer is brewed in Serres, about 83 km from Thessaloniki.
Beer Details:
Ceylon cinnamon, Madagascar vanilla, cardamom, tonka beans, aged 7-year-old rum and aromatic coffee with flavors of red fruit, grapefruit and honey, make up the richness of Imperial Porter’s flavor. The addition of rye and roasted malt enhances its body, which rests at 9 degrees of alcohol and leaves a rich, flavorful and aromatic aftertaste.
Color: Deep amber
Flavor combinations: Smoked charcuterie, grilled meat, grilled vegetables, smoked cheeses (such as gouda and cheddar).

This delicious IPA has won various awards such as Gold in the “Greek beer awards” several years in a row as well as Gold in the world Trophy 2021. Several of Septem’s beers have won awards and they have a series of about 7-8 beers where many taste their best beer.
